An isotonic, low-residue formula providing complete, balanced nutrition. Useful for tube-fed patients who are sensitive to hyperosmolar feedings. Because of its mild taste, it is also appropriate as an oral feeding for patients with altered taste perception. Osmolite HN is a high-nitrogen formula for patients with caloric requirements of less than 2000 calories per day or for patients with elevated nitrogen requirements who need to be tube fed. Osmolite HN Plus is a high nitrogen formula for patients requiring 1200 or more calories per day or for patients requiring acute-care or chronic tube feedings. Lactose- and gluten-free.
