Unbelievably Light The Q7 with rear wheels and wheel locks can be configured as low as 14 lbs! This feat is accomplished using 7000 Series Aluminum and ShapeLoc technology, which together increase overall rigidity without compromising weight. In addition, every element on the chair has been carefully analyzed and evaluated to eliminate any excess weight. |

ShapeLoc Technology Heat Treated aerospace 7000 series aluminum is the key to the Quickie Q7's remarkably low weight. Using a special post heat-treatment process, ShapeLoc technology unlocks the potential of this traditionally difficult alloy. The result is a remarkable tubing that's lighter than titanium, more rigid, and less expensive. |

Unparalleled Performance To maximize performance, ovalized tubing is used in the frame, axle plate, and caster housing. Its superior vertical strength decreases frame flex and increases overall rigidity. In addition, new caster setting options for small caster wheels make it possible to place casters further away from the center of gravity, which in turn makes the chair easier to maneuver. |

| Pros: | This chair is well made and light. |
| Cons: | Seat back mechanism became worn after 8 mos which allowed the back to tip forward and back 15 degrees. Castor placement and front design does not allow getting close enough to objects to make a safe transfer without a sliding board if you don't have very good upper body strength. |
| Other: | If I could weld, I would chop this chair off at the front edge of the seat and weld two short-radius tubes straight down to the castors. Not as sexy looking, but then I could get close to my sink, toilet, car seat, and workbench. It would be a great chair for a high para; I don't think the designers considered the rest of us. |

| Pros: | light |
| Cons: | axle configuration is extremely noisy; sounds like creaking plastic; caster placement does not allow the chair to get close to transfer destinations; adjustments are more difficult than with previous Quickies I have owned; rubber grip on rear bar was the first thing to fall off, leaving an unsightly mark; still no protection for axle posts when they slam against the ground |
| Other: | I would not buy this chair again; I would purchase the Quickie Titanium. |
