Product Description
The TiLite X, at 22 pounds, is the lightest, most compact and adjustable folding chair manufactured today. In addition to standard industry options such as adjustable seat backs, swing-away arms and 6-inch front wheels, consumers may choose from a variety of new ones, including a one-piece, over-center foot plate, which increases the folder's rigidity. TiLite also offers a fully adjustable, high mount wheel lock, or "uni-lock," that can be adjusted to push or pull to lock. The TiLite X offers a one inch tapered front end with three front frame angles to choose from, making it the first folding-front non-swing-away chair.
The TiLite SX and X are hand crafted from seamless, aerospace-grade titanium. Titanium has no equal when it comes to dampening vibrations caused by riding over rough or uneven surfaces. This means superior comfort for the user during many hours of use. Titaniums weight is about one-half that of the aluminum used in most wheelchairs. Titanium is incredibly strong. This means the SX and X will shake off years of abuse.

The TiLite X has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase online. SouthwestMedical.com recommends the TiLite 2GX Fixed Front as an alternative titanium wheelchair with all the features and benefits of this chair.
One-Piece Side Frames
TiLite builds the SX and X with one-piece side frames. We also build our rigid chairs with one-piece side frames. Other manufacturers build their folding chairs with two- or three-piece side frames that are bolted together, leading to flex, squeaks and loss of energy. One-piece side frames increase performance by reducing flex and increasing durability.
Fixed or Swing Away Front End
The SX is available with either a fixed or a swing away front end. The hangers are removable when swung in or out 15 degrees from the locked position. The swing in or out feature of the removable front hangers on the SX facilitates transfers in tight spots, like a restroom or a car.
Versatility
The offset axle plate and multi-adjustable caster housing of the SX and X are TiLite features that dramatically increase the number of available front and rear seat-to-floor height combinations. Merging adjustability with more options allows the SX and X to provide the best fit and performance even as needs change.
Machined Camber Plugs
The TiLite SX and X utilize machined plugs to create rear wheel camber. Other manufacturers use washers to create rear wheel camber. The use of machined camber plugs precisely aligns the SX and Xs rear wheels, allowing the chair to consistently track straight.
Color
