Product Description
The TiLite YR is based on the TiLite TR platform, but is available with frame sizes from 12" x 12" to 16" x 16". Weighing less than 14 pounds, the YR offers increased maneuverability and agility for your youth. The YR also offers Ti red, navy and royal blue, hunter green and purple upholstery, and is available with TiLite's Let Your Body Grow trade-up program for pediatric users, which allows the purchaser of a YR to periodically exchange the chair for a larger one.
Ti 3-2.5 seamless aerospace grade titanium provides superior vibration dampening, reducing user fatigue and creating a super smooth ride that provides superior comfort for the user. Titanium also reduces fatigue on the wheelchair, resulting in greater durability and fewer repairs.
Custom Built
Each YR is uniquely modeled using sophisticated CAD software based
on each customers exact specifications. Each YR is hand made by the
TiLite team.
Raising the "Bar"
Wheelchairs with upper and lower frame tubes are more rigid than
mono-tube wheelchairs, which only have the upper frame tubes. The
more rigid the frame, the more optimal the energy transfer between
the users push and the wheels rotation. On the YR, TiLite moved the
lower frame tubes closer to the upper frame tubes, thereby
achieving increased rigidity for improved performance without
sacrificing compactness for transport purposes.
Bullet Caster
Every YR features TiLites exclusive Bullet Caster housing that
reduces weight and gives the chairs a clean, stylized look.
TiShaft Back Release Bar
The TiShaft back release bar eliminates the outdated string used to
fold the backrest on most chairs.
Color
The TiLite YR is now available with a Satin or Polished titanium
finish and 17 painted frame colors. Whether you are looking for
subtle, bright, or just plain cool, now there is a TiLite look for
you.
