The user places the penis between the two foam pads and the hinged clamp is squeezed shut. It provides a closing pressure on the urethra, which is close to the bottom of the penis. Many men use them after prostate cancer. They are used for male dribbling.

Reusable design provides a continuous leak path in the breathing circuit. An exhalation device is a required component of the breathing circuit when using a Respironics full face mask with a Respironics CPAP or Bi-level system.
