The PEAK SELECT SYSTEM is a technology that records and analyzes 32 separate measurements and selects the highest, most accurate temperature in less than 2 seconds. Research shows that the tympanic membrane has an almost 1:1 relationship of infrared emission to true temperature, and as such, is an excellent approximation of core temperature because of the blood supply that it shares with the hypothalamus. The tympanic membrane is the closest membrane to, and shares blood flow with, the hypothalamus (the bodys thermostat). The temperature from this membrane provides one of the closest predictors to the bodys core temperature.

The JAY X2 has a lightweight, maintenance-free, reduced profile that is designed to provide stability and pressure relief to active clients. Featuring a smaller JAY Flow fluid insert and a lower profile 2.25" foam base, The JAY X2 cushion is a winner for the weight conscious active user.

The non-contoured flat foam base allows the client to sit at the front of the cushion comfortably during daily tasks and activities. A notch cut-out near the back of the base provides additional protection over the coccyx bone (tailbone).

The JAY Flow insert conforms to the individual and ensures proper fluid placement to protect against skin breakdown while the foam base provides greater stability for the active user. Removable 1 inch lateral thigh supports provide additional positioning.

For convenience and protection, the JAY X2 features a dual-cover system. The inner cover is water-resistant and easy to wipe clean. The Aqua-guard zipper and anti-wicking thread protect the foam base from fluids. The machine-washable, stretch outer cover reduces surface tension and a zipper enclosure ensures secure coverage.

The Drive Medical Swivel Wheel with Lock and Two Sets of Rear Glides can be locked for fixed wheels or unlocked for swivel wheels. The 5" casters with rubber wheels and two rear glide caps, allow walkers to roll easily and smoothly over irregular surfaces.

The 500 Series Natural Rubber has been manufactured from double-covered, soft, natural rubber to offer the greatest degree of elasticity and great durability. The high-stretch knit construction in combination with double-covered yarns provides easy donning and removal.
