Wheelchair Ramps

Designed to make a home or business more accessible to wheelchair, walker or scooter users, wheelchair ramps come in a variety of materials and sizes. The wheelchair ramps we carry are considered either semi-permanent - meaning they rest on top of the ground or a concrete pad and can be used for a short or long term basis or portable - meaning they are designed to be used as needed and are easy to move.

Threshold ramps provide a great solution for small inclines of just an inch or two. They can be made of aluminum or rubber. Some of these are modular which allows you to add or remove from the ramp depending on the amount of incline needed.

Solid ramps are a semi-permanent option that range in size from 4 to 10 feet. These are made of aluminum and have the option to come with handrails.

Single Fold and Multi-Fold ramps are designed to be a more portable option that the solid ramps - given their folding design - while still providing the same larger size options to cover bigger inclines than thresfold ramps. These ramps range from 2 to 6 feet in length and most have a convenient carrying handle.

So how long should your ramp be? Wheelchair ramps typically need to be 1 inch in length per inch of rise. This means if you have a 2 inch step, you would need a ramp with a length of 24 inches. ADA requires a slope of no more than 1:12 ( 12" length per 1" rise ).
