Soft 1/4" thick ventilated foam forms a cap for a newborn baby's head. It can be used in cases where the cranium has not completely formed, or after surgery when accidental bumping may occur, as well as during sibling interactions with the newborn when accidental touching of the sensitive area may occur.

A soft chin strap holds the cap in place. The cap can be trimmed in the front to adjust forehead height or in back to allow for occiput differences, but then the foam edge is not Fabricoated, however it is still waterproof and washable.

Varilite cushion valve replacement is available in either Standard Valve or PSV Valve. Kit includes replacement valve, adhesive, and installation instructions.

Pressure Setting Valve (PSV) : The PSV is marked with three pre-set positions, which provide the best range of immersion for most users. Positions 1,2,and 3 are setings that determine the amount of immersion. Setting one is the least and setting 3 is the most.

Standard Valve for Adjusting Air Volume Sitting on a fully inflated cushion, the user opens the valve and releases air, closing the valve when sitting on approximately 1/2 inch (13 mm) of air and foam.
