The Professional Wheelchair Cushion provides exceptional pressure relief for users at risk of skin breakdown or with a history of pressure ulcers. A full 1 5/8" thickness of AKTON polymer provides effective weight distribution on a contoured or flat surface.

The Professional provides an additional 50% cushioning against pressure, shear and vibration. This is significant for those active clients using a power wheelchair who have concerns about bottoming-out and the potential effects of increased temperatures (due to foam insulation properties).

Comes with Basic Cover . Incontinent and replacement covers are also available.

Note: One of more of the raw materials used to manufacture the Akton polymer used in this product has a naturally-occurring scent that may be noticeable to varying degrees (weak to strong) in the finished goods. This is typical. The scent should dissipate over time. Scent should noticeably decrease within 10 to 15 days. The best method to dissipate the odor is to air out the products unrolled and outside original packaging in a ventilated space.

Pouch deodorant. Tablets effectively deodorize contents of appliance without the mess of using a liquid.

Four points of attachment to the wheelchair. Primary attachments position the belt like two point hip belt and secondary attachments anchor the belt in position to prevent it from riding up into the abdomen or twisting. Holds the pelvis much more aggressively for situations when the person has a lot of movement.

Applications: Clients with high tone. Counters pelvic rotation by allowing the caregiver to position one side of the pelvis, lock it in place and then position on the other side.

The Tuffcare Tuffy Deluxe wheelchair is the classically designed steel & chrome frame that provides comfort and durability for all users. Front rigging is the favored lower camlock design. Aluminum footplates are durable and easily adjusted.

Folding triple chrome plated frame with fixed full arms has padded double embossed, flame retardant vinyl upholstery and padded full length arm pads.
